. William Edward Chapman had Two Children of a previouse union . He was not married to either women (naughty boy) . This has appeared in the Diary of his Brother George Chapman (1.) ?/?/52 {date to faded to much } I have taken in abase child of my brother till he marries Annie Chapman , a union of dissaproval by all our family, Her Mother is of lesser standing the Daughter of convict Bengamin Bannister . This small child shall be raised in good steed till her father marries . To accept the children of a woman of such standing can only be corageouse . Her brother 1/2 James fairs well in good surroundings as she will . The mother is of good nature ,My brother Should marry (2) 11/12/52 At last my brother marries , a good woman of good standing and moderate wealth Ann Chieves as we regret the children are to be retuned upon his retun to home . Still the family disapproves but what is done is done . it will only be with time James & Annie will find the truth .
