Rosanne's father was an opera singer (James). Her mother's father, Joseph Fry,"kicked" his daughter Elizabeth out of home because of her association with "a person of lower social status ".(the Fry's were a wealthy family).The marriage went ahead ( probably out of revenge !) but eventually broke up.
