History & Achievements

James Gordon Wilkie Arrived in Australia 1n 1910 with his mother Jannet wilson Wilkie (nee) Gordon . His father had arrived some years earlier to set aup a new life for his family . This was not to be the case as Alexander never infomed them of his were-abouts . James Is My Grandfather on my mothers side . They were both members of the Gordon Clan . He and my Grandmother Charlotte Lillian Wilkie (nee ) Gordon had to get special permission to may because of the name similarity . They were Gordons but my Grandfathers Clan Gordon came from the highlands whilst my Grandmothers Clan Gordon came from the lowlands .They would have been related only over centuries , and many times removed .
